Snow again today, so I needed something other than black (to keep my spirits up).
Also, these shoes make me feel cheery because they are so very sweet. They are pink, washed with a sheen of antique gold, so they look soft and worn and girly. They are also low and very comfortable and work well with all hem-lengths as well as with trousers. Bought them in San Francisco with M a few years back.
The skirt has a matching long, tunic-style top. When worn together they look like an illustration out of one of those great old novels set circa 1914-- I feel like Ruth Fielding or Peggy Saville (one of my heroines!) when I wear the whole ensemble, a sensation I suspect would only be heightened by my current haircut! While today's look is a bit over-the-top, for work the tunic and skirt together are just WAY too dressed-up, so I need to break them up.
Skirt: Femme de Carriere (years ago!)
Satin cami: (gulp....) Suzy Shier
Sweater: a little shop in Stratford
Brooch: handmade by me!
Earrings: Le Chateau?
As ever, over to here for a better view.

I'm loving the skirt in particular.
I had a weird outfit today. I might post as I crazily put plaid trousers with that jacket you gave me NY - the tapestry/floral one. Not sure, but went with it... Otherwise it was just a pink top and trousers which felt wrong. (not sure it is a keeper)
OK time for bed on this side of the ocean.
Sleep tight. And post your get-up-- it sounds cool and edgy!
